Pure Bliss

I must confess I was very taken by this sunset. With the orb of the sun about to hit the water over the horizon, with some cloud cover in the blue skies at that time of the day, I was fairly excited. Hurriedly, I took a few pictures, but after a while decided I was missing the whole thing. I turned off the camera and watched the rest of the sunset in peace and tranquility.

We photographers often say we see more because of our cameras, but I often wonder how much more we'd really see if we turned them off as you did, Ayush!

Good for you, you did both things. Take pictures and just relax and sit down and enjoy.

Its amazing what we miss with a camera stuck in our face Ayush glad you did with this one superb capture of it. Like the little reflection to the right just before the umbrella.
It's a lovely sunset and since you took shots of it you will always have something to bring back the memory of it.
A lovely shot Ayush, and, I do agree with your sentiments. smile
I'm glad you took the time to do both Ayush...it's a beautiful evening, love the reflections and golden light on the foreground rocks smile
A fine post.

A very dynamic photo! Beautiful composition with the sun captured between that great sky and it's reflection in the water.

Indeed a stunning sunset - nice mix of golden yellows and cool blues.
Sounds like you got the best of both options Ayush.
Well thanks for at least sharing some of it with us Ayush

That is an amazing sunset well worth you spoiling just a few minutes of that tranquility.
You did right and well.
striking colors and gorgeous sunset. Well done.
a lovely shot ....!
Incredibly beautiful image Ayush! I do love how you framed this... and that you then put the camera down to enjoy. You've heard the John Mayer song "3x5"?
"Didn't have a camera by my side this time
Hoping I would see the world with both my eyes..."
That a wonderful dazzling shot.
What a stunning piture - wonderful shot well done!
Just stunning! Wow, it is so Breathtaking!
Great framing with the rocks and the shoreline for depth Ayush... there is very little colour in sunsets without the clouds... but what a canvas that it creates in these cases... you are right the joy of it all is the half hour of peace that you get after the 39 seconds of photographing....petersmile
WOW, so beautiful... I LOVE this picture very much.
