photoblog image Barangay Patrol HDR

Barangay Patrol HDR

A patrol vehicle for the Malajog Barangay. This site was just a little distance away from the Malajog beach. Barangay is the word for district and often abbreviated to Brgy. In the countryside, barangays have their names whereas in cities (like Manila), they are simply numbered.

The decrepit condition of this patrol vehicle may be attiributed to low crime in countryside. Or at least that is the impresion I had during my stay there. People mostly lead content lives. Households are often left unlocked and gates wide open. It is perhaps a different story in metropolitan Philippines.

Ha Ha. The police expect criminals to come to them, out of politeness, Ayush.

Another fine Philippines shot.
Ayush Basu: Thanks Ray, more to follow. I have several Gbs worth of images that will be slowly making their way here
An interesting find, Ayush!
Ayush Basu: I drew some amused and curious glances from some local companions of mine theregrin
i love your photo old the Barangay Patrol car Ayush... it's refreshing to know that there are still places as peaceful as this left in the world... we have never locked our doors since we moved into the country at the lake five years ago....petersmile
Ayush Basu: Glad you liked it. Yes, peaceful is definitely the first word that comes to mind here. Good to know you are enjoying something like that at your side too smile

Are/were the toilets for tourists as it is written in English.
Ayush Basu: I doubt they have many international tourists there but in the Philippines, the use and understanding of English language is fairly high
Philippines is so amazing!
Would love to see it one day. :-
Ayush Basu: I hope to go back for more
Haha, it seems as if it were left there on duty to guard the public toilets, Ayush. Great shot!
Ayush Basu: while the occupants probably are in to relieve themselves
This sort of thing just screams out "HDR Me, Please", doesn't it Ayush? Great capture, with the felled tree trunks providing extra perspective.
Ayush Basu: Exactly my sentiments Fred. Thanks for stopping by
Mind you it looks like someone nicked the wheels!
Ayush Basu: That too of a law enforcement vehicle. The audacity!

I love your HDR series on vehicles.
I hope the police officer did not go to the toilet, while somebody stole the wheels of this vehicle wink
Great picture.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the kind comment. I doubt the officer is coming back anytime soon. But at least he still has the bull horn smile
It's looking very cheerful for the subject matter. I like your HDR work Ayush
Ayush Basu: Appreciate your visit and the comment. I hope to improve as I am still relatively new to this kind of treatment.
I take it they don't patrol very often. Great shot. Cheers, Dave.
Ayush Basu: You are spot on. At least not using this vehicle grin
Low crime? Someones pinched the wheels!
Ayush Basu: I said 'low crime', not 'no crime'grin Thanks for stopping by

The significance is the they parked in front of the ladies/gents. Maybe they are still in there and will be surprised about the missing rear wheels when they come out. Great picture.
