CCK Cemetery II

Another scene from the same venue as yesterday. Quite a contrast to see two graves next to each other: one well tended to and the other abandoned and neglected. There were quite a few which were literally falling to pieces, in stark contrast to ones at the Kranj War Cemetery

It is very interesting to see these graves, they are very different from the ones over here.

But in some ways the same also...

Perhaps the abandoned grave has run out of family to tend the needs of the ancestors.

Its a fine shot, Ayush.

I occasionally visit Chinese cemeteries in bangkok, as there are a few quite close to my apartment and they are very interesting, like this.

Interesting how virtually all graves have images of the deceased. The war cemetery looks so different
the pod is well chosen
Can`t tell you how fascinating I am finding these graves. Brilliantly presented, too. (:o)
Incredible shot, Ayush; the uniformity of the gravestones is remarkable.
An amazing cemetery, rank after rank of graves, all very picturesque.
A quite astonishing scene - much more flamboyant than the Japanese cemetery I pictured some time ago:

It can happen when you have no-one left in the family. People die and migrate and the graves bear testimony.
This photo has great depth into infinity Ayush... they are very elaborate headstones with a picture of the deceased on all of the ones that i can see... it is a shame that some are tented to and some not at all... i also believe that there would be no family left in the area to tend to some of the graves....petersmile
These are so pretty Ayush!
I remember this picture very well Ayush....petersmile
