Masjid Omar Salmah is a mosque near the heart of Singapore. Surprisingly though, it is a place hard to find. It is quite modest and there is a small rickety signboard pointing the way to approach it. The masjid is said to be built in 1973 and serves about 300 worshippers at a time. Indeed, when I approached this place, I was looked upon more as if I had lost my way. Some of the more known residents are Singapore Polo Club and Riding for the Disabled Association.
Owing to the 'ulu' locale, rustic charm and chirping birds in the greenery, this is a hit spot for local Malay channel, Suria.
PS: I didn't get a lot of things right in this image, nevertheless wanted to show this quaint, little place.
