You have found a great place to capture the part of Venice that few tourists seldom see Ayush....did you notice the bars at a 45 degree angle on the outer walls of the houses....they are the end of long bolts that protrude through the house and out the other side of the building into similar bars..... this is how the Venetians have battled the corrosion from the canals for centuriessmile....petersmile
Ayush Basu: ohh really? that was a great bit of historical info. cheers smile
The colors you've gotten on the brick are great! I love this walkway and I'm so glad you got "off the beaten path!
Ayush Basu: Glad you liked it. I was fortunate to have a lot of time on my hands smile
Fantastic colors, love the field of view and the bridge leading in between the buildings.

Ohhhh, that's gorgeous, Ayush. Lovely, rich colors and textures. What a cozy, romantic spot.
Vebice, I wish to go there sometimes, but I am not sure the wheelchair will allow me to
Fine shot, Ayush - and, as Peter says, not the usual tourist shot!

Isn't Venice just the place. It so speak to my imagination and I wondered how a child would experience these (sometimes secretive) walkways, etc.
Ayush Basu: you are quite right i suppose and i suspect even adults would find it enjoyable. i had a great time there in this maze.
Extra ordinary shot.Excellent subject. Brilliant use of angle. Original Venice to view.
Ayush Basu: i just happened to come across this place and am glad about that

One of my favourite cities and I am sure I have walked along this linking bridge. Perfect colours - you even have the shutters to match the green of the canal.
Ayush Basu: thanks a lot for stopping by smile
I like the contrast between the new bridge and the old bricks of the buildings.
Fantastic shot, Ayush!
Your shots of Europe are fantastic.
Ayush Basu: Cheers mate grin

great shot. the old and the new sitting comfortably together. Venice must be a truly amazing place. The original builders must have been very inventive to build on that boggy bit of land.
Many old houses all over the world use those long bolts to hold the walls together although I can't remember what they are called. They often have an X or S shape here.
Ayush Basu: thanks for stopping by and also the info. i quite agree with your inference
Man I seriously need a change in scenery too, running out of stuff to shoot in Singapore tongue
Great shot!
Like this, u're drawn right into the photo...!
