New York, New York (the real deal)

Another HDR but this time from the real NY. I am still stumbling around the settings of Photomatix and when I worked on this image, it gave me a film-noir type feel or perhaps something like a still from one of those early 2000s graphic novel based video games such as Max Payne. 

 

While this image is certainly not for purists, I suppose this would be something what visual effects people do for cityscapes in calamity movies showing ruined skylines and crumbling buildings (anybody seen the final Transformers yet?)

I don't know how you did it but I love this, the yellow sign really pop up.
Love the angle and POV.
No I did not see the last Transformers...

The flatness of the image and snow on the sidewalk makes the bleakness of winter only a breath away

Very nicely done, Ayush. This has a lovely hand-coloured feel to this.

I like the way that the snow has fallen only away from the sidewalks and the road surface smile

Very detailed shot.A clear perspective view in wide range. Color use is fantastic.Remembered me from some old classic movie scene.Loved the shot.

It is a bit surreal, as you say. But it does make something a little special of an otherwise bland street scene. Good stuff.

Very nice processing
This definitely looks like something out of a graphic novel or video game!
There's a lot to praise here--it all works. Nice to see a glimpse of an older New York.
