Talent in Aachen

Aachen Hauptbahnhof, or Aachen Main Station, is the central station for the city of Aachen, in the western province of NRW, Germany near the Dutch and Belgian borders. The red train seen here is the Bombardier Talent (featured earlier here) operated by DB Regio AG, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG. The tracks that are seen curving to the right are the ones that lead to the north of the province. On the lower left hand corner are visible tracks that head straight across the border. The rolling stock seen on these cross border tracks are the Siemens ICE (InterCityExpress) and the GEC-Alstom Thalys.

 

This shot was taken from an overhead bridge on a Sunday afternoon.

This shot is a fantastic use of wide angle. May be used with some new Technic with lens. I could refresh my old sweet memories in Aachen and the Bombardiers red train.

The light at the bottom of the picture spoils an otherwise excellent picture. Great one for HDR.

Looks to be a major junction. Some of our own trains come from GEC-Alstrom, I believe.
