Gold and Scarlet

This was taken at the Forbidden City in Beijing, the heart of political power in China for centuries. It is like a city in itself, surrounded by high walls and a moat. I liked the appearance of these doors here, a little faded and rough around the edges but nevertheless retaining some of its original look. Not sure if they have been renovated/replaced over time (probably they have).

I like the way they are all wonky.
This is a great composition Ayush....the intricate patters on the doors is amazing showing great craftsmanship....petersmile

Très belle image graphique. Le rouge et les scultures du bois sont vraiment très beaux !
Very artistic thought to capture the door with an ornamental work. Burnt sienna and golden colors made the picture very bright.
Your narration to every shot is very impressive.
