This typical Swedish cottage was seen at the above mentioned open air museum and zoo in Stockholm, Sweden. Owing to the conception that the country's many traditional customs and occupations may be lost to history, today it serves the purpose of showing the way of life in different parts of Sweden before the industrial era. Only a small fraction of the buildings are replicas; the vast majority was shipped piece by piece to the museum, where they were rebuilt to show the full range of Swedish life. Highly recommended. Autumn was just beginning to show its full range of colours, hence my effort to include some of the foliage.
