Notre Dame de Paris is a Gothic cathedral and a designated World Heritage Site. This site has a long list of religious significance attached to it. Over the centuries, it has been damaged and renovated several times. The Rose Window seen here, for instance, reaching 12.90 meters in diameter has been damaged many times over the centuries. Once the masonry had settled in, once it was restored poorly and yet another time was severely damaged in a fire.
