This was taken last year at the end of a long and harsh winter. With milder temperatures and fresh greenery appearing, this temporary amusement park at Aachen’s Bendplatz proved to be a big hit. Apart from the scary theme shows, carousels and rides, there were stalls selling sausages, bread, sweet treats and so on.

This sort of fair seems popular the world over; the styling has a very local feel to it, though, from what I can see.
