Snapshots from Deutschland: Markt of Aachen

This image was taken one evening right outside the Rathaus. As seen, it is fall and trees are shedding leaves. In spring it is an entirely different story with this entire plaza packed with tables from the numerous bistros and cafes. It is quite pleasant to stroll around the quaint alleys in the city centre or sit around the Market place in the evening, watch students strolling by, listen to guitar players and have a beer and snacks from the Turkish or Chinese diners in the area.

Beautifully captured and the color filter is also making to worth watching.

I love the warm tones and the deserted mood to this image. I like the juxtaposition of the round tables/tree on the left with the chairs/umbrellas on the right. This must be a fabulous place to spend time in.
A very nice square and what a fine building on the left.
As you say, it'll be a different scene in a few weeks.

That's delightful, Ayush. It actually reminds me of a place in Amsterdam that I walked past often.
Nice deserted street scene, well captured.
I like this composition - and it's nice to see pictures of a place in the 'off' season.
