Snapshots from Deutschland: Wiesbaden

This is the Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Elizabeth in Wiesbaden, Germany. It is the only one in Wiesbaden and is located on a small hill known as Neroberg. Additionally, there is a Russian cemetery, which is supposedly the largest in Europe outside Russia itself. I do have full frame pictures of the entire church but I have always found the onion shaped gilt domes (typically always associated with Russian Church architecture) very fascinating. Here, it may not be outright obvious but the dome in the centre is set off somewhat behind the other two smaller domes (on the left and right). Similarly there are two more domes at the rear two corners. Apparently, the large central dome and the four smaller ones at the four corners stand for Jesus Christ and the Four Evangelists

Great angle good photo
Very nice symmetry. I also like the complimentary color between the window and sky. Very nice shot!
liked the perspective and the tight framing!

Ayush Basu: Thanks Laurette
Great shot Ayush and what wonderful architecture.
It looks a fine building and quite large which suggests a large congregation
Its a very lovely detailed church, I like the angle showing off the golden domes smile
Your picture captures the gold domes beautifully, Ayush.

Many places were born out by the air raid of the world war the second. This building exists even now.
