To think that in the space of three centuries, we have moved from the early steam locomotives to modern electric propulsion units travelling at over 500 kmph; here left to right are two steam followed by one electric, locomotives at the National Railway Museum (NRM) in York, U.K. This museum boasts of a large number of rail vehicles with historically, technically and (even) artistically significant milestones. Some of them are in working condition like No. 5972 Olton Hall, which featured as the enchanted locomotive providing traction for the magical Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter series.
