Dragonboat

A bright, beautiful day around the Singapore River where the Singapore Dragonboat Association held their dragonboat race. There were several teams, some participants were even from Ireland and Germany. I didn't stick around till the end of the race though.

 

In the background are: Parliament House of Singapore (red roof with the flag of Singapore flying atop), Old Supreme Court (the blue dome), New Supreme Court (the one that looks as if a flying saucer just landed) and Stamford Swissotel Hotel (200m plus tall, cylindrical hotel building).

always a great event to look at
Lots of excitement in these races, Ayush. I especially like how all the dragon heads are decorated with flowers.

I thought that was your library?
I came across a library in Singapore that looks like that many years ago on a building magazine.
